Immunisation & Vaccinations

Routine

Children are sent reminders for their injections by child health. we hold child vaccination clinics each week at the surgery. A Doctor or our Nurse Practitioner is always present. 

it is important to bring babies and children for their routine vaccinations. childhood vaccination and immunisation clinics are still running as normal during the covid-19 pandemic.

 

Tetanus

All patients are encouraged to keep their immunisations up to date.

 

Influenza (flu vaccination)

Vaccinations are available from september-march each year. It is now recommended that all patients over the age of 65 years old have this vaccination annually. They are also recommended for patients with chronic illness. 

 

Pneumovax

Recommended for patients with chronic illness and patients over the age of 65.

 

Shingles Vaccinations

We are now able to offer Herpes Zoster Vaccinations (Shingles Vaccinations). In line with national guidelines will be calling patients in. Please see the attached information for further details.

If your medication request is urgent please contact our prescription line on 01643 703441 (Option 2). 9am - 12 noon, Monday - Friday.

Please include your name and date of birth with your request. Please be advised that requests for “all repeats” or requests with limited information are likely to result in a delay in the processing of medication. In such instances, staff will need to contact you to discuss your exact requirements.
