Somerset Carers

Over 63 Village Agents are ready to support unpaid carers in Somerset.

An ‘Unpaid Carer’ means someone not employed to be a Carer for a person, and who may or may not receive a Carers Allowance.

The person being cared for can be a friend, family member, partner, child or neighbour.

tALKING CAFE VENUES ARE REOPENING ACROSS SOMERSET

Our PCN has reopened all three of our Talking Cafes in West Somerset. This has been welcomed by the venues and community alike. Whilst we began on an appointment basis only, we are pleased to announce that these are now fully open as drop ins.

We have had over 500 visitors to the West Somerset Taking Cafes since we reopened in May 2021.

A free Coffee/Tea and support from your Village Agent alongside other agencies such as housing and debt advice await.

please do signpost your patients to their nearest Talking Café if you feel they are able to attend.

 

Minehead Talking Café – Beach Hotel, Minehead – 10am – 1pm Every Monday except Bank Holidays

Williton Talking Café – Williton Pavillion, Williton – 1pm – 3pm Every Tuesday

Dulverton Talking Café – NEW VENUE – Fishers Mead Common Room, Dulverton – 10am – 12pm every Thursday

If your medication request is urgent please contact our prescription line on 01643 703441 (Option 2). 9am - 12 noon, Monday - Friday.

Please include your name and date of birth with your request. Please be advised that requests for “all repeats” or requests with limited information are likely to result in a delay in the processing of medication. In such instances, staff will need to contact you to discuss your exact requirements.
